Secondary Research

Our primary audience is the "main body" of viewers, as in who our target audience is. We believe that out target audience are the kind of people that go and see short films are typically not your average movie going audience, they are more into the genre as an art piece than as a form of entertainment. They are more interested in what a piece means and what it is trying to say.
Secondary audience are viewers who fall outside the primary demographic, for example teenagers as they may just happen to come across it over the internet rather than search for it as we would assume our target audience would. Despite the fact it isnt the main audience it may make up a large enough percentage of the test audience to skew the statistics if not accounted for.

Now, despite the fact our film is obviously not a feature length, I believe that due to the themes that are potrayed throughout our short film e.g berevement and almost obssession that it should be targeted at audiences above the age of 18, as they may be more accustomed to such events.

Although this is the typical demographic of our targeted audience, we believe we need to delve a little further as just the demographic is too broad. We also need to focus on psychographics which is personality, values, opinions, attitudes, interests, and lifestyles of our target audience.

Secondary audience was further researched into, in order to give us a detailed breakdown of exactly who our film was to be aimed at and more importantly why that was the case
