We chose this location for various reasons, our theme Drama is intended to reflect human behaviour and action in the midst of crisis and everyday life. Therefore by using a house it is the perfect location as its like a snippet of someone's private reality, which makes it relatable to our target audience.

As the house we have chosen to use has lots of windows, which allows lots of light to pour in, the lighting within the house could be representational of her mind frame as although it seems as if it is bright, it it is in fact grey. Like her, she is almost in denial about her husbands death, as despite the fact she hears his voice all the time, he is, in reality no longer around.

Moreover, practicality speaking, this house is in a very central area, which makes it very easy for the cast and crew to commute to and from our other locations and their households. Furthermore due to the fact the house will be empty whilst filming it makes life easier for everyone as we can move around freely without any disruptions.

Identifying the location/setting we are going to use is important to not only ensure that it is practical and available; but to also ensure that is suitable for the genre of our short film and fits the conventions of a Drama.
